Claudia Dionne is a Midwest artist and writer living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, Claudia is recognized for her oil painting in portraiture, still-life, and Old Master Reproductions. She paints with an impressionistic flair and a saturated palette on canvasses of all sizes, with a particular affinity for larger pieces. Her work depicts a variety of subject matter and exemplifies a painterly approach. Her appreciation for brush control and technique stems from her earlier work in Eastern painting, Sumi pen and ink in 1990.

Since beginning her study of oil painting in 1992, Claudia has mastered her skills. She has studied with Master Painter, Sophia Aue, Canada, and American Master Drawer and Painter, Nick Reszetar,
